Had a visit with Dr. Lang, my blood platelets have tripled and he says i am in remission but will do a scan from head to toe in a few weeks to make sure thats whats going on. he pointed out to me that when i first came in I was a very sick lady. he says i look really good. and the chemo hasnt affected my good spirits. he said this is never easy. and while I maybe in remission, i realize that this will never go away. that i have to learn to co exist with this and keep myself healthy. that is the only way i am ever going to live. i still am too scared to be stupid. but i am doing well, and thanks to all of you who have kept my spirits up. couldnt have done it without you.

just an update to let everyone know whats been going on.. I just had my last review with the doctor, everything is good except the platelets are too low again. apparently he didnt feel it was too bad as they did not do anything. but i go back again next week for labs and then he will decide if i need a shot or another blood transfusion which worked the last time.



Still waiting on the rest of Amanda's report. There is still no cause stated for her death. I made her sister Jennifer, executor of her estate as I did not want to do it. Not that I couldnt do it. just didnt want to. how do you sum up a persons life by their assets? then it goes to probate, the goverment has to get their share i guess.



Billy and my mother went to indiana to see a friend of my dad's who makes headstones. we will be going to pick out her stone after everything goes through probate.



And then Billy did something that was so generous that I cried. I never could afford to get Rick ( Amanda's dad) a headstone. I had promised years ago if i could, i would get him one. All he has is a foot stone from the army.



Billy is going to get him one, He said Amanda had talked of getting him one but just never could afford it. even with the settlement i got from where the lady hit me a few years back was not enough to get the stone I wanted.



So I told Billy, not to spend a lot on it. just with his name and his birth and death days on it. I just asked for a small double wedding rings with the date we got married on the stone. while there is no place for me to be buried next to him,



there is a spot that is already paid for next to Amanda. That is where I want to be. I only made one request on my stone. that I did not want my last name of Brehm to be on the stone. ( I have three they can choose from since ive been married three times) either lovejoy ( maiden name) bowers ( amanda's dads name) or Barrett ( which is my second husband, Jennifers dad) i really dont want barrett either to be honest.



But i dont plan on leaving anytime soon. :)
